I saw The Passion of The Christ last night. I won't even begin to describe it like it is just another movie. It isn't just a movie, because it tells the story of the suffering and death of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From the beinging of his distress in the Garden of Gethsemane to his death on the cross, I saw on screen what Jesus suffered for me. This is something that must be seen....

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!" - Mark 15:39
(ironically a line that wasn't in the movie)

Go see the movie. See what He endured to save the life of you and me.

I am trying not to be online as much as a way to sacrifice during lent. Seriously takes up a lot of unneccessary time. But I must share something, it might make you laugh.

I walked into a door today. I mean I walked right into it, and that sucker hurt. I had just been working out, and I lacked the strength to open it.

In my defense, anyone who goes to the corec knows that door is heavy.

So there you go, I walked into a door.

I am going to see the movie The Passion of The Christ tonight. I may write about it this weekend, for my friends who are interested.

Song of the day!: You can find some way to listen to it. I don't want to know how! (Downloading is illegal you know (wink, wink))

For Lent:
Dear Lord,
You are the only thing holy in my life. You have giving me so much love and compassion, and yet I do not give You every second of my life in thanks. In fact, I lead a selfish and busy life where You are on my mind so little.
I should be striving to be like you, but more often I fall into sin. My soul is bruised and battered, unworthy of your site. All that saves me from you eternal punishment is the sacrifice of Your Son.
I could never live the life of Christ, his holiness saved us all. I only ask that each day I will find the strength to try and be a "man after you own heart". That is all I could ever ask for Lord, is to find your favor. Each day kill the sin in me, and let me sacrifice my day and make it Yours. All for Your glory Lord. Give me the strength to overcome.
During this period of Lent, let my thoughts be filled with You more. Sin is crouching at my door, but I will not let it in. You will give me strength. Jesus suffered so much, I will strive to find inspiration and faith in his "passion". Thank you Lord Jesus.
Amen

*This blog often serves as a journal. I thought this prayer appropiate. I wrote it in a moment, but I hope that the feelings which inspired it last longer.

By The Tree, "Far Away"

*For God so loved the world that he gave his only son who was beaten, mutilated, humiliated, suffered the torturous death of the cross, took on the sins of all the world, and, then in his last moments, was denied the comfort of the presence of his Father who he had felt all his life.

Words of wisdom:

"Love thy neighbor as thy self."

"To err is human, to forgive divine."

And my personal favorite....

"Forgive your enemys.... It messes with their heads."

Today's song is...
Chris Rice, "Prone to Wander"
*On the surface not a ripple
Under surface wages war...

Freedom from myself will be
The sweetest rest I've ever known
