This is my last posting for awhile. I have written about a lot of random things in my sort time blogging. I am pretty sure that even the faithfull viewers have missed something. Scan through the archieves and amuse yourself with the links.

I feel sooo bad. I spilled water all over a laptop my roommate's parents were letting my borrow. They were really cool about it though, not mad at all. Which of course makes me feel worse. They are really nice people, and I like pissed on there trust, or at least I poured water on it. As I said it is cool, and no files are lost. I can smile about it.

I have decided to take a break from this thing called "blog" for a bit. I have access to working computers at the computer labs throughout my campus, and am more then comfortable working there. But I feel I need a break anyway. Perhaps God is telling me something with my last mess up. I spend a lot of time in front of a computer and very little time with the Lord.

God has suddelly and slowly turned my mind into a place of Godly thoughts. It is strange that I could come closer to my Lord on a college campus. That is the wrong phrase, "closer to God". In fact, I have realized how far I am from him. I should be striving to reach for him, and starving for his love. I took that love for granted more then I thought. I allowed many sins to go unchecked, because I had faith in Jesus and "Jesus saves". I was more a sevant of sin then a servant of God. I truely regret my actions with my friends. I know some are on a path to hell, and I have not tried to change this as best I can.
I need to find time to reflect more in the coming weeks. I think I must sacrifice some time to do this, and writing posts takes time. I hope to be writing very soon, and I a may even write from time to time even as I try and take this respite from my patterns. The truth is that writing my thoughts down and sharing with others has probably helped me grow in some ways. Even when I write random thoughts, hehe. So I will blog on, but don't expect to much. Captain Kangaroo died today. I think we should all take a moment.

You know he was a former Marine (not an officer though as his title makes you think)? He entertained children over thirdy years as the loveable Captain. I don't remember myself, but I used to love his show. My Dad would wake up in the morning and watch it with me before he went off to work. I love my Dad! Him being so great is probably why I want to be a father myself one day.

I think we should take note when people like Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) pass away. They were part of our lives during a time of innocence. The profession of teaching and entertaining the youth of our country is probably the most important job one can have. It is a shame we don't seem to recognize that. This man made sure that parent could let there children enjoy television without being exposed to... well... ggarbage. I am not a parent, but that means something I think.

 
Dude! I got linkage on. I have been going crazy wanting to make this page more interesting. For right now am content with a color change and some pretty new links (since thats all I can change).

I will start blogging this weekend on some random insights I have. However, I will leave this post as an introduction into the "new and improved" blog.

Not a variety of colors to choose from, but thats ok cause my favorites are really the basics. Besides dark green, my favorite color is probably grey. Which is good cause I think it looks good on a webpage. What do you think?

Win a Date with Todd Hamilton looks cute. I feel sorry for that one guy. Ok, ok!! He reminds me of me.
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow just looks cool too. Very imaginative, and kick ass explosions. Angelina Jolie looks hot as always.
Taking Lives just looks good. I swear it has nothing to do with Jolie, but she does help. This trailer you should definitely checkout.
Jersey Girl looks sweet, but nothing new to cinema history. A "cookie-cutter-cute-flick".
Finally, Scoobie-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed looks flat out funny. The trailer really made me laugh. Shaggy and Scoob are really hilarious. And when Scoobie is in that 70's outfitt saying, "Hey Babie" at the end... I loose it.

Well, he did it. I knew he would. My other best bud, actually Long Lost Brother, Chuck has started a to write a blog too.
The Good, The Bad, and My Water
I told him if he wanted attention, he should call it "Two Girls Kissing". He would get so many hits, it wouldn't be funny. Wait.... it would!! haha I guess he didn't like that idea though.

In our group, weird as we are, water at some point became the symbol for relationships in ones lives. We have all gone through our ups and down, and all of use seemed to be on a roller coaster senior year. It looks like Chuck is going to tell the story!! weeeee I might not come off to well, but I am totally syked to here what he has to say about all of our stories. Good luck Chuck!!!

You and your blogs: First Ben, then Me, and now Chuck. I have to admit that it looks bad. Not only am I defiling the name that is "blogging", but all my close friends are too. Watch out world!

Actually this has potential. My group of friend are all close, and we each went through some crap to get us that way. We are all different, each bringing something to the table. I think a true triad of blogging is coming into life.

Ben is the guy that usually doesn't come off with stuff unless it is flat out hilarious or deep as hell.
I am the guy that doesn't know when to shut up, and only comes off with something profound every once and awhile.
And Chuck is the quiet guy getting crap and dealing with ours, just sittin' in the corner going, "Yep, these our my friends." I would like to hope he doesn't follow this by crying inside and cursing God, "Why! For all that is holy why!!" hmmmmmm....

But with our powers combined!!! .... anyone else remember Captain Planet. Those rings were cool. I wanted Gia to give me one! I think if I had to choose I would want "wind". That way I could kick bad guy butt, as well as blow random people away when they bothered me. If I had fire I could only burn people. Totally uncool to do to just anyone.

Where was I? Oh, yeah. Between the three of us, we have to come up with something of interest.

I have to get back to working on homework now. Then I will hopefully sleep. I have been so tiered the past few days from not sleeping that I think I will just sort of pass out tonight. "Pass out" sleep is the best.

I of course sat down here to work on homework, but somehow found myself playing around on the net. At least this way I feel like I am accomplishing something.
My friend Chuck would say about now, "Whatever gets you to sleep at night." He says that phrase like all the time! Sorry dude, you do. Anyway, I am not about to get started on a rant about what gets me to sleep at night! Damned sheep....
My journey on the internet was somewhat productive. I came across the site of a fellow blogger named Wil. Apparently, he has a three book deal because of the success of his blog. So I had to check the dude out, he is the competition you know.
I was expecting some like intellectual guy. One a them there big city writer types. Pleasantly, I found a fellow nerd who not only has excepted his nerdhood, but has found a way to live among the normal. He even married one! What hope for my kind.
Of course, I am exaggerating on the whole nerd thing, but I wouldn't be surprise if people didn't get some of his jokes. Still I would check the site out. The site is below. Not that I am trying to loose my audience here. Yeah, like five people are an audience.

So I tried counting sheep last night. The situation was desperate. I was going to bed earlier then usual, 'cause I had to get up early for a class. I was without my trusted comforter (the only thing I sleep under), because I destroyed it in a washing machine. That story is better left untold. Put simply, I was uncomfortable with only a few "emergency" (which means crappy) blankets to cover me. Finally, there was the most distracting (as well as loud) noise coming from my radiator. There is some sort of crazed mouse or something in those pipes. "He don't likes the hot water. Let me tell yous that!!" So basically I am in bed ridden hell, but I am calm. How could I being enduring all this you might ask? Well, because I had the ultimate sleep inducer, "the count of the sheep" some would call it.
They should really call it crap! I got nothing, but confused. I was tiered; I didn't want to do math! I never tried the whole sheep thing before, 'cause I was sort of saving it for an emergency situation. Can we say "faulty parachute". There is so much hype around the dang thing, I assumed it worked. Another example of how the media controls ideas. They dropped the notion that counting sheep somehow makes you go to sleep, and we just believed them. Damn you Sierta commercials! Damn you and your adorable clay-mation sheep!!
Well, I got through the night, but don't let this happen to you. A warning: Do not rely on Counting Sheep. Guard yourself in other ways, such as a blankie or some soft music. Good luck and good night.

I figure not everyone wants to read what is basically an electronic journal somedays, especially the journal for a guy whose like isn't that interesting. Therefore, I have decided to go back to labeling thoughts. So don't worry, no personal stuff today. I will try and let up on that. Except to say this, "Ben write a f--kin' blog!"

Movies: There is movie coming out this weekend with a guy we all know and love as a goofy dumb "dude", but he is in a different role this time. Ashton Kutcher is starring in The Butterfly Effect. "change one thing, change everything" The concept is Chaos Theory at its best. Most fantasy films that have to do with time travel touch on Chaos Theories. The film Jurassic Park, an awesome movie, even mentions the field of study and displays how distructive some results can be(i.e. dinosaurs eating people, seriously, how big a surprise was that really?). That movie is actually where I first heard about Chaos theory, I honestly don't know much about it. However, I really like theorizing about time travel (go figure) and I think I can say I would enjoy learning more about Chaos theory. For the little surfing I have done, it looks like Chaos Theory is the study of what is going to happen, even though the perameters of the situation are undefinable. That is my "Brandon Short View", there is more to it. You can findout about it for yourself, if you want. I am writing about a movie. All you need to know as far as the movie is concerned is that the Butterfly Effect (the actually theory, not the movie) has to do with one little thing having a big effect.

I love where they got the idea for the title of the movie. There is a "theory" that goes, "A butterfly flaps its wings in Central Park, and a hunderd years later it creates a sunami in Japan." wo... deep or stupid? The same question could be asked of this movie, which could be good or silly. I have faith in Ashton, just not the script. Like my Dad says, "Guys that play stupid really well (like Kutcher on That 70's Show, great show) are either really good or really dumb themselves." So I guess we will see, which one Kutcher is going to be.

Basically, the movie is about this guy who had a troubled childhood where he unfortunately seemed to be loosing his memory. He was told by a theopist to write a journal everyday. As a man, he finds that he can use these journals to somehow travel back in time, transfering his present conscienceness into his past. Sounds pretty cool huh? He tries to fix the problems in his life by going back into the past and changing things, but when he comes back to the present, he finds out he mad things worse. He keeps going back, but always ends up changing his world in ways he can't imagine. "Change one thing, change everything" , get it? I think the idea for this movie is great, but I have a creepy feeling that the film may not do the concept justice. I plan to see the movie though, and if you like sci-fi films I would check it out too.

Praise the Lord it is a new day!!! Rejoice in the Lord your God and all the blessings he has given you and all that are to come. I have said that I feel as though something is missing, and, many times, I have sinned and allowed depression to overtake me. But I will say it again, "it is a new day!!!"
I believe in the one true God, and I can find comfort in him. However lost I may feel now, I have faith that he has not lost sight of me. "The Lord is my Shepard." I think even those of no faith at all have heard this phrase. Think on it a moment. He is watching each and everyone of use as a Shepard would, but, unlike a Shepard, the Lord will never loose sight of us for he is omnipresent and omniscient (everywhere and seeing all). Like a Shepard he will not only watch over us, but keep us from harm for we are his flock. Unfortunately, this is not some sort of Godly shield from all pain and suffering. Jesus said himself that this would always be. However, I believe in my heart that the Lord will never give me more then I am capable of handling; and that each day I wake I will be provided all that I need.
I have to do it... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! BANGERANG!!!
